Today I had Micheal B. from Penn / Long Island. Our target species on todays fishing charter were sailfish, but with flat calm seas and slow sail action yesterday, it was pretty obvious early on that the sail bite was going to be less then what we had hoped for. We gave it our best shot though and hit a number of proven sailfish areas with no success. We did have plenty of Bonita action throughout the day and excellent results when we dropped baits down to the bottom for grouper and amberjacks. Tons of bait has pushed down to us now, and for the first time this season there is something for the sails to eat when they come back. The North winds tomorrow could really get things going.
We fished the Buccaneer Sailfish Tournament out of Palm Beach this weekend and had a blast! Team Apava (the boat I was running got the top boat day one award, 2nd place dead bait div. 5th overall and top angler overall. Great job to everyone on the team, it was a great time! Give me a call if you're interested in fishing a fl. Sailfish tournament, or just spending a day fun fishing on the rip. Off the Chain is available for fishing charters out of Stuart Fl. year round. Stuart offers some of the best deep sea fishing charters just a short drive from Orlando and Tampa.
I just had a great afternoon of catching sailfish with Micheal Jordan! We fished a pm half day charter out of Stuart Fl. yesterday with MJ and three of his buddies. They ended up catching 3-4 on sails, some dolphin and Bonita. It was and honor and a pleasure spending the afternoon with one of the best players ever and childhood idol of mine. What a treat to be part of such an awesome day. Give me a call to book your fishing charter out of Stuart Fl. www.offthechainfishing.com
The sails, dolphin, and overall fishing is great right now. Yesterday we had father / son team Don and Pete catch their first sails ever. They actually caught 4 at once and a couple of dolphin at the same time too. Talk about Off the Chain action! We ended the day with a few more dolphin and sail bites along with plenty of Bonita and small Blackfin tuna action. Tally for the day 5 sails, a few dolphin and some Bonita and tuna. Not too bad for a 3/4 day fishing charter out if Stuart Fl.
After yesterdays great bottom action it was pretty obvious as to what Tony, Gary and Ben wanted to do today. Stuart Fl bottom fishing charter it is... they caught around 50 fish, but only kept a few. We Released a bunch of just undersized Mutton snapper and yellow tails, but we did get a few keepers., We also got some nice lane snapper and vermilion snapper and also caught a nice king, and lost a sail.
